A Human Resources Manager is needed to work for a leading retail group in the Middle East. A generalist is required to deliver HR support to both employees and management by helping to ensure they have the right structure, people, process and culture in place. This role has a diverse range of generalist HR responsibilities, handling day to day operational queries/issues and devising new strategy.

The role:

Provide management with professional advice on key HR issues, working closely with the Area HR Director and other HR colleagues. Initiate and drive forward strategies, policies and procedures in all relevant areas including:

* Headcount and resource requirements monitoring

* Performance management (including health/absence; disciplinary & grievance issues)

* Learning & Development

* Overseas postings, mobility and transfers issues

* Compensation and benefits management

* Managing HR issues in a challenging international environment

* Advise employees on ad hoc queries

The person:

* Chartered MCIPD or Grad CIPD or (or equivalent), with post qualification generalist experience in the private sector

* Sound knowledge of current employment law procedures and processes; and best practice HR

* Good administration/organisation ability with ability to manage large volumes of work

* Excellent communicator, used to dealing with people at all levels

* Ability to adapt to different national cultures

* Hands-on approach, able to deal with large volumes of work and practice creative solutions to problems

* Excellent, Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint skills

* Flexible and willing to travel extensively across the region

* Experience working within retail would be beneficial but is not a pre-requisite
