Job Summary
An interim HR/Resourcing Manager is urgently required to work for a charitable organisation. The role will involve all non-ER specific duties of a generalist HR Manager. The key focus of the position being all employee life-cycle based issues including recruitment, redundancy, redundancies, redeployment, maternity, sickness, secondments and sabbaticals. You would also be required to use and maintain the HR/IT systems which include a payroll system (in conjunction with an external payroll function) and an on-line recruitment system, i-grasp as well as an in-house HR database.

Person Spec
Primary responsibilities:

* Implement and manage processes to ensure the integrity of information on HR databases.
* Ensure procedures affecting employee pay are robust and properly used, e.g. deductions in relation to sickness, maternity etc.
* Manage/develop Management information to support business objectives.
* Provide advice across the business on HR policies and procedures regarding recruitment.
* Effectively manage a £90k Recruitment budget, implementing any cost saving initiatives wherever possible to ensure best value at all times to the organisation.
* Advise and manage any programmes of redundancy and redeployment, develop procedural guidelines in line with legislative changes and good practise.
* Provide written and verbal communication to employees who may be affected by redundancies in a sensitive and appropriate manner.
* Ensure that accurate data is maintained in relation to key employee events e.g. notice periods, redundancy, redeployment records, payments, etc.
* Undertake confidential investigations and respond to complaints as appropriate.
* Manage 1 HR Advisor and 2 Administrative members of staff.
* Advise and assist in interview processes as required.
* Participate in job evaluations panels.
* Attend regular HR team and management meetings.

Background:
Previous staff management experience.
Experience of managing budgets.
A strong generalist HR background - key skills including Resourcing, redeployment, redundancies, maternity, sabbaticals and other employment movement issues.
Experience of working for a charitable organisation would be preferred although by no means essential
Project management skills
A knowledge and previous experience of managing a redundancy process.
Ability to develop and maintain constructive working relationships
Interpersonal skills including diplomacy and sensitivity sufficient enough to undertake sensitive meetings.
Knowledge of the job evaluation process.
Ability and willingness to undertake overnight stays away from home on occasion.
