Overall Job Purpose

To drive the HR change agenda for The Group Centre (GC) HR through the development and delivery of HR policies, structures, systems, diversity and inclusion and employee relations initiatives,

Key Accountabilities

Review and development of existing and new HR policy owned by the Head, including the Global Resourcing Standard and the UK Recruitment Policy. Undertake relevant review of content, Communication of updates and recommended best practice across the Group.

Design of appropriate mechanisms for the governance and compliance testing of existing and new HR policy, to be applied across the Group. Gaining buy-in from relevant stakeholders across the Group and working with them to ensure the effective implementation of the mechanisms.

Review and development of the HR risk plan. Ensuring that key HR stakeholders are aware of the potential risks and that appropriate mechanisms are put in place to mitigate risks identified.

Assisting the Employee Relations Manager for GC to drive the ER agenda for GC, including assisting with the provision of ER advice and HR policy interpretation to the GC HR community, communication of Group wide HR policy changes and the reporting of ER MI to various stakeholders on both a regular and ad hoc basis.

Development of the GC diversity and inclusion annual plan. Undertaking diversity and inclusion research, making recommendations for and then implementing resulting HR initiatives. Participating in the GRCB/GC Diversity Committee. Leading on ad hoc diversity queries as required.


Development of HR organisational design. Reviewing and modelling the working HR service model, implementing enhancements to ensure optimal Business, HRBP and HR Specialist engagement.

Leading on ad hoc HR projects as required.
