We have an excellent opportunity at one of the worlds leading financial services firms for a Payroll Executive. Assisting the UK Payroll team and UK Payroll Manager in all aspects of the Payroll process, you will produce a timely and accurate payroll using the SAP Payroll system.
Main responsibilities will be as follows:
Responsible for processing of the full range of payroll input from new hires to leavers across all pay entities within ambit of responsibility.
* Responsible for processing and validation of all PAYE changes
* Processing and validation of all statutory payments SSP,SMP,SPP,SAP
* Improvement of processes in a continual cycle of improvement
* Processing and validation of pension changes
* Represent payroll at weekly new starter induction on a team rota basis
* Management of payroll queries to a full and satisfactory resolution both verbal and written ensuring escalation as appropriate
* Support of HR Finance team in query resolution for both P&L and balance sheet
* Build relationships with wider HR community in order to improve understanding and make business processes more efficient
* Ensure employees are paid accurately and on time
* Process and support implementation of benefit initiatives e.g. salary sacrifice
* Fully competent in preparation of payroll journals
Payroll Control:
* Payroll input/output checking
* Running of Payroll Extracts/Interfaces, Wage Type Statements, Ad-hoc Reports
* Handling of payroll queries received by e-mail, telephone, post and fax
Post Payroll Activities:
* Manual payments (including payments to 3rd parties) and associated cashbook entries and Payroll Journals
* Administration of payslip and P60 distribution
We are looking for someone who has proven payroll experience in a blue chip organisation with exposure to all elements of the payroll process. Intermediate MS Excel, Word and SAP are a must. The right candidate will be process driven and delivery focused, with strong attention to detail.
