Our client, a leading organisation in the not for profit sector, is seeking a Personnel Assistant to join their HR Team of 6 to provide support for a workforce of over 1000 employees.
Situated in North Yorkshire offices (near Scarborough), you will support the company by providing a comprehensive and confidential HR service, to include a combination of administrative duties, advisory duties and project work including some workshop facilitation to line managers.
This exciting role requires a HR professional with outstanding organisational skills and a strong ability to multi-task in a high volume, hands-on environment supporting the HR Manager and line managers with disciplinary and grievance cases. Therefore some experience in this field would be beneficial and working knowledge of current employment legislation is a must.
Furthermore, the successful candidate will have the ambition and ability to operate at a higher level when required and therefore should have a good level of operational experience.
The successful candidate should:
*Be a HR Assistant/ Officer Exposure with strong administration skills, who is hungry for progression and exposure to a variety of HR generalist issues.
*Be highly organised and adept at multi-tasking and prioritising; handling competing tasks in a timely and efficient manner and adhering to tight deadlines.
*Be a strong communicator at all levels; on both a spoken and written medium adopting a common sense approach to situations and managing expectations where required.
*Experienced in providing advice to line managers and employees on policy and procedure, employment legislation as required.
*Aware of the importance of confidentiality within the HR function and should be confident in handling sensitive and highly confidential information.
*A team player, using high interpersonal skills to build positive and productive relationships with colleagues.
*Emotionally intelligent to take into account individuals' personality types and required levels of interaction.
*CIPD qualified (or equivalent) or working towards.
