Are client is a well know national organisation, that requires an Interim Regional HR Manager. To support on the daily operational Employee Relation's side of the business.
To maintain and develop an understanding of current employment legislation in order to be able to provide expert advice and guidance on employment matters in accordance with current policy, procedures and employment legislation.
To provide best practice advice and support on performance management, disciplinary, grievance, absence and other employee relations issues.
To develop constructive local relationships with Trade Union/ professional association representatives.
To contribute to the formulation and implementation of HR strategies across the business.
To reduce levels of sickness absence across the region by intervening at an early stage and working closely with relevant parties to a successful conclusion.
To work closely with operational management to ensure a robust succession plan is in place for both individual sites and the region.
Skills and Knowledge
Articulate, capable of using persuasive argument to influence others and able to negotiate in challenging situations
Good organisational skills with a capacity to deal with complex problems over a wide range of issues and capable of making decisions on appropriate course of action without referring to others.
Ability to liaise and work with all levels of employee
Able to use own initiative and work unsupervised
Demonstrate a flexible attitude to work
Exceptional interpersonal/facilitation skills
Full Clean Driving Licence
Willingness to travel within the region
