A world renowned retail group requires a Reward Manager for a period of 7 to 9 months to cover maternity leave. Reporting directly into the HRD and managing 1 member of staff, there will be a number of key objectives to manage in this time. The company has also recently merged with another competitor so there will be a number of integration projects to deliver.
Role
To direct the design, development, implementation of pay and benefits programmes within the company with the objectives of attracting, rewarding, recognising and retaining talent vital to the Company’s success in the market place. Overall responsibility of the strategic development of Oracle HR.
Key Objectives
• Pay review for a population of 2,500 people
• Integration of terms and conditions for 2 companies
• Bonus payments for 2,000 people and then roll out of new bonus scheme
• Review of retail bonus scheme
• Consolidation of executive reward across 4 countries
Principal Accountabilities
1 Development of reward strategy by identifying internal and external trends and anticipating shifts.
2 Delivery of the day to day operation of the reward function
3 Delivery of Annual Pay Reviews including presenting board proposals, benchmarking, and processing.
4 Design and delivery of annual and monthly bonus schemes to ensure motivation and attraction requirements are maintained.
5 Management of all benefit policies and relationship including Car, PMI, Pension, and other voluntary schemes
6 Communication of all programmes to ensure they are fully understood by employees and managers.
7 Managing adhoc projects as requested, for example flexible benefits, salary sacrifice, terms and conditions review.

Manage the grade structure by ensuring all role profiles are correctly written and evaluated in line with company policy.
9 Liaising with IT in the design and introduction of major developments to Oracle HR. Provision of HR business information into the business.
10 Development of skills and knowledge base of team to enhance profile and motivate employees.
