This leading services company based in the Birmingham area is looking to recruit a Senior HR Advisor.
Working within a Shared Service Centre environment and leading team of 5, you will report into the Head of HR and take key responsibility for dealing with complex ER cases and producing monthly reports on the HRSCC capability and performance. The successful candidate will have the ability to lead by example on relationship management with customers and support the HR Business Partners to apply consistency across the business.
Duties:
*Handling Discipline and Grievance matters
*Managing Absence
*Redundancy management
*Employee relations advice
*Employment Law advice
*HR Help Desk - Advice and Guidance on published policies and procedures
*Management and maintenance of the HR SAP Database
*Ad hoc projects as required
Key Accountabilities:
*Manages casework in a timely and appropriate manner, with attention to detail to ensure proper process is followed
*Ensures that all changes to HR database are implemented in a timely manner, and correspondence is prepared, checked and filed in line with policy and good practice
*Responds to Service centre queries in line with Service level agreements and in a responsive and helpful manner at all times
*Offers clear recommendations to managers with risks and benefits of each option
*Persuades and influences managers to take the most appropriate course of action in relation to people matters.
*Prepares management information to the business on a regular and as required basis
*Prioritises own workload ensuring that work is complete to agreed timescales
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
*Ideally CIPD qualified or equivalent
*Previous exposure to working within an HR department and line managing a team
*Union Negotiation
*Working knowledge of SAP and OMS Systems
*Proven ability to influence and persuade outside of formal lines of authority
*Ability to persuade and influence at all levels within an organisation
*Excellent interpersonal skills
*Attention to detail, and excellent time management
*Demonstrable ability to meet or exceed customer service requirements
