My client has an immediate requirement for an experienced generalist HR professional to provide HR advise, guidance and coaching to line managers in a changing and challenging environment. Reporting to the HR manager you will be primarily tasked with managing a variety of Employee Relations cases covering absence management, D&G and sickness etc. On top of this you will deliver training to 1st line management on recruitment and selection, team development, appraisals and performance management, employment law as well as updating policies and procedures.

Although the role reports into the HR manager my client is looking for someone that can hit the ground running and have significant communication and influencing skills.

This role is for an immediate start and will last till April 2009.

Background

You will be a proven HR generalist and be able to demonstrate successful achievements as a HR advisor / officer. Significant experience in managing case work and employee relations would be extremely advantageous. Full CIPD membership would be desirable. My client is ideally looking for candidates with public sector experience.
