Our client, a world renowned leader in their field is seeking to appoint an experienced HR professional to the role of Senior HR Business Partner responsible for one of the key divisions within the organisation.

You will be responsible for the provision of both strategic and operational support to the senior management teams. You will be supported in this by a dedicated team of HR Business Partners and Junior HR Business Partners.

Key responsibilities will include:

HR strategic support and planning for the client area

*To ensure the staffing aspects of the client area strategic plans and objectives are consistently integrated with client area aims and service objectives
*To support the delivery of the staffing component of the client area strategic plan through the design and production of HR management information and reports, tracking progress against HR objectives
*To support the development of strategic HR thinking in senior and middle managers within the client area
*To provide HR management information to support senior managers in the planning process and in making forward business decisions
*To ensure that recruitment and appointment decisions are aligned with client area current and future strategic aims and objectives
*To lead and/or participate in projects and support the implementation of change programmes across the client area in pursuit of client area strategic aims and objectives

Operational Advice and Assistance

*To provide advice and support to senior and line managers on HR matters including individual cases, staffing aspects of relevant projects and initiatives and relevant aspects of employment law (e.g. covering fair appointment, promotion and termination decisions)
*To develop client area HR policies and procedures which are consistent with client area strategic objectives area and aligned with organisational policies and procedures governing e.g. appointment, probation, appraisal, promotion, grading, remuneration, performance management, discipline and dismissal
*To develop appropriate HR performance metrics, (e.g. staff attendance) and advise client area Senior Managers, highlighting trends, identifying options and recommending appropriate interventions
*In liaison with the HR Division, manage the HR caseload and HR-related procedures, e.g. progressing disciplinary and cases appropriately, resourcing hearings, within the client area
*To provide a responsive and high quality advisory service to staff within the client area concerning organisational and client area HR policies and procedures
*To identify the HR skills requirements of key client area staff and, working collaboratively with the HR Division, support the delivery of appropriate training and development programmes supporting the promotion of a positive employee relations climate locally
*Provide informal training and facilitate a discussion forum for/to administrators and line managers in the client area as required
*Provide input and support to Appointments Committees, Senior Management Promotions Committees etc..

Section Management

 *To ensure the delivery of professional advice, casework management, effective and efficient recruitment services and HR administration to the client area by:
-recruiting, supporting and developing members of the client area HR team
-preparing and reviewing service level arrangements with client area Senior Managers
-establishing the client area HR team's objectives, ways of delivering services to the client area, improvement plans to maintain/improve service levels
-planning the team's annual, monthly and weekly tasks
-monitoring individual and team performance and conducting appraisals
